Last week we finally signed the P&S on our new home!! Of course, it took almost a week for the builder to turn it back around with his signature, but alas. The old house is due to come down anytime (should have already been done, but these slowpokes are always behind!). Once that happens, they need our mortgage finalized to begin construction - it's a little tricky on new construction because we won't be paying on it until it's built obviously, but they need hard proof that we're locked in and can afford it. Without going into boring details, we were able to work something out and the mortgage will be contigent on the appraisal of the floor plans.
We've made a bit of progress, but I still just can't wait to see actual walls and stuff going up!!
