Our good friends S&B stayed with us this past weekend and we had a blast as always! We hardly ever see them so we always have to cram all our great plans into 2.5 days! We ate a LOT of great food, and hit up Chunky’s to see “I Love You, Man.” Great movie, highly recommend it – “slappin’ da’ bass” is a surprisingly useful catchphrase. :) As good as that adventure was though, I have to confess the highlight of the weekend was definitely buying a razor scooter! We had gone to Target to pick up a Frisbee and gummy bears (for rummy bears – highly recommended snack!), but got distracted in all the toy aisles and saw a scooter that just looked too fun to pass up. We all took a turn cruising around Target and making a scene before deciding it was absolutely worthwhile purchase. When we got home, we had a blast riding up and down all the hills in our complex and we were sufficiently coordinated enough to make it out alive. In fact, the next day another Target run was made to get another one for S&B. On Sunday, some other great Worcester friends made the trek up to our pad for an Italian-themed potluck and some Rock Band. Turns out we’re all stars in the kitchen and packed on an extra pound or two with all the good food. We may or may not be stars on Rock Band but we sure had fun faking it, and really ripped out some great tunes! It was nice to meet D’s new girlfriend C, however I’m not sure she felt the same way! :) We took her out for some scootin’ and she gets an honorable mention for best scooter tumble ever! She took it like a champ and will probably have some awe-worthy scars for her troubles. I was impressed at her quick pick-up of scooterin’ skills and she was really flying around! All in all, it was a great weekend that I was sad to see come to an end. The weather was gorgeous, the friends were awesome, and the food was scrumptious! And the scooter, well...that just can't be beat! :)
