For realses?!

Shockingly, nothing has gone wrong since my last post and we are still slated to close on Tuesday! We did a walk-thru of the house to make sure everything was in tip-top shape and it pretty much was, just marked a few things that needed to be cleaned or touched up. The last item, the home theater carpet, just went it and "looks pissa" according to the builder. :) Now they just have to put the last coat on the hardwood floors and finish cleaning/ touching up the things we marked. I can't believe it - our home is finally real and we actually get to move in!!
The trouble is we close on Tuesday and lose our apartment on Thursday so that pretty much only gives us Wednesday to move. Normally we rely on family and a few friends to help with the heavy stuff (couches, tv's, etc) but moving on a workday makes that impossible. Anthony is off today and Monday so he started taking over a few trips of boxes to help make Wednesday go faster, but I think that means he'll just already be sore when it's time to move the big stuff. :) My dad flies into town on a red-eye that Wednesday, so if he can sleep on the plane he'll offer assistance which is great! Normally Anthony and I frequent the gym several times a week so you'd think we'd be buff enough, but unfortunately that was the first thing to go when we got busy doing house stuff almost every day. :(
Anyway, this post is not to complain - it's to rejoice that it's finally just around the corner. I can't wait til the packing/ moving/ unpacking is over and we can just rest up and enjoy our creation! We already have a ton of weekends booked in February and March with friends coming into town, so hopefully we get all settled in pretty quickly. After searching for our dream house since the spring, it is so incredibly exciting to have it within our grasp. Feel free to invite yourselves over anytime to hang out - we plan to make it Party Central!
