After my last post about nothing going wrong to prevent closing today, of course we got a call this morning saying the bank wasn't ready! The house is 2 months overdue and they still don't have it all together?! Problem is we're moving tomorrow so 1) we're already busy and can't sit in an office for a few hours wasting our u-haul rental, and 2) we need to move all our stuff while we have the u-haul and we wouldn't own the place yet. So, now I'm a little bit stressed - we don't even know for sure they can make tomorrow happen, and we lose our apartment on Thursday.
On the plus side, we did our final walk-thru last night and the place is fabulous!!! After so much time designing it and waiting for it to happen, it's still hard to believe we will actually * live * there soon.
Also, don't ever use our builder - though the house came out totally awesome, it was absolutely not worth all the bickering and thousands (literally!!!) of dollars he cost us above the original price of the house. I cannot even begin to list how many times he totally screwed us over - I cannot wait until our 1 year warranty is up and we never have to deal with him again!!
